Obama and Biden won the White House! The election was close in many states, but Obama won the electoral votes necessary to become the next President of the United States.

The Obama campaign didn’t make any major mistakes. The biggest problem for the Obama campaign was Reverend Wright. Obama spoke out in a public statement that he didn’t agree with Rev. Wright and was able to eliminate a potential disaster.

The McCain campaign made two big mistakes. The first was trying to convince the American public that Obama was a terrorist. Many Americans felt that the constant and prolonged remarks about Obama being friends with terrorist were uncalled for and went to far. The remarks crossed the line in ‘negative advertising’.

The second mistake was selecting Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential candidate. Sarah Palin is a probably a fine governor, but most people had a difficult time accepting her as a Vice-President and a potential President.

Congratulations to Obama and Biden!

Democrats have been in the closet for years.

Democrats are coming out of the closet. Coming out is a confusing time for many people. Accepting your democratic feelings can bring about a number of fears. Will your family or friends stop loving you? Will you ever get married or have children? Will you be discriminated against or made fun of at work?

Sure, some democratic people experience rejection when they come out, but many also find a accepting support system, leading to a fulfilling democratic lifestyle. Even so, happiness starts from within. And getting to know yourself and your politic values is a key part of the process.

Though being democratic doesn’t define you, it is a new part of your life. You can still be the same person you’ve always been, but take some “me” time to evaluate your transition.

It doesn’t matter if you live in a small town or a large metropolitan city, nothing can be more isolating than first coming out. You can be surrounded by familiar people and still feel you are the only one that is “different.” We’ve all felt these feelings when first coming out and there are millions more just like you that are currently feeling the same. There are many resources, such as Democratic National Committees and local Democratic Offices, where you can find others dealing with similar values.

Many Democratic men don’t fit into existing stereotypes associated with liberal people, but feel the pressure to do so by society or even other liberal people. Rest assured, the liberal community is just as diverse as any other community and each liberal person is an individual.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t always prevent things like name-calling. You may be thinking whoever coined the term “words will never hurt me” obviously was never called a Democrat oe liberal at a party, but you do have an opportunity to take control of the situation.

Every Democrat or liberal man considers how their family and friends will react to the news that they are liberal. Will your family reject you? Will your friends suddenly feel uncomfortable? Will you lose good friends or family members? These are valid questions that we must consider and unfortunately, there is no way to predict how your loved ones will react to your political views. The most important thing to consider is your own health and well being.

Come out to family and friends at a pace that makes YOU comfortable. Coming out is an experienced shared by many liberal, Democrat people. You are not alone and there is help available.

Folks this is tongue in cheek, but it does seem to be true that it’s becoming OK to be Democrat!

Dr. Michael Dini is serious about education. Dr. Dini is a professor at Texas Tech University and teaches biology. Texas Tech University is in Lubbock, Texas and has 29,000 students. Dr. Dini has a reputation of teaching a solid curriculum and doesn’t provide a pablum pass’em environment. He also is liked by his students, because they recognize his passion for biology and teaching.

Dr. Dini was the target of an attack by a right wing religious group and was investigated by the the Justice Department. Dr. Dini receives requests for letters of recommendation from graduate students that are submitting applications to medical school. Dr. Dini has a few simple requirements of students that they must meet before he will write a letter of recommendation.

<div style=”display:block;float:left;margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px;”>
<!--
google_ad_client = "pub-3547193511404383";

One of the requirements is that the student must answer scientifically “how the human species originated”. Dr. Dini will not write a letter of recommendation if the student’s answer is creationism. Dr. Dini explains that he doesn’t want to send someone to medical school if they don’t have a solid belief in modern science and that evolution is one of the most basic facts of the science of biology.

This is sound logic. If someone wants to attend a university that dismisses science and teaches creationism, there are plenty of theology schools. For example, these students should consider Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. But, if a student wants to attend a university of higher learning with emphasis on modern science, then that student should attend a school like Texas Tech University. This is the kind of school that I want to send my son or daughter to.

Colin Powell was motivated to make a public endorsement for Obama, because McCain and Palin have overstepped the boundaries of negative campaigning with the terrorist propaganda.

Colin Powell made a strong endorsement for Barack Obama for President. Powell made the endorsement during an appearance on Meet The Press. Colin Powell the son of Jamaican imigrants has served a distinquished career with the military and the U.S. government. The endorsement is huge win for the Obama campaign, because Colin Powell is widely respected within the military, by our government officials and the general public.

General Powell meticulously explained his reasons for making an endorsement for Obama at this time. First, he said that he doesn’t think is Palin is ready or capable to be the President of the United State. CannonSpeak arrived at this same conclusion on August 29th and wrote that McCain showed poor judgement when he selected Palin as his vice predidential candidate.

The number one reason that Powell decided to vote for Obama and what drove him to make a public endorsement for Obama is the McCain campaign’s twisted terrorist propaganda. The Republican National Committee and the McCain has engaged in behavior that is essentially wrong. There is a thin line between negative campaigning and where the RNC and the McCain campaign are with the terrorist twist. It’s downright un-American. Cannonspeak to this position about the McCain campaign twisting the facts about the William Ayres situtation.

The issue is that McCain and Palin have gone too far with the negative ads. You have crossed the line when you call a United States Senator a “pal of terrorists”, because he knows a respected scholar who was a Vietnam protester. Powell had indicated back in April 2008 that he was not going to endorse either candidate. It’s clear that McCain and Palin’s constant and long term “terrorist” campaign tactics drove Powell to make an endorsement for Obama.

Is Twisted Sister running the McCain campaign?

The McCain campaign constantly comparing Obama to being friends with a terrorist is a twisted and perverted attack. It’s so twisted that Twister Sister might be running the McCain campaign. This is such a twisted campaign tactic that it should cause sane conservatives to run from McCain.

The story behind William Ayres and the problem with the McCain’s scare tactics. First, the word “terrorist” conjures up images of Middle East terrorists that hate the United States. William Ayres was a 1960’s hippie. He was then and is now an American. Second, this was almost 40 years ago. William Ayres was a wild, hippie American kid around 20 years old.

When Obama met William Ayres, he was a 50 something, respectable, educated college professor. Does that mean Obama was “palling around with terrorist”? Come on! Give me a break!

The McCain staff cannot defend this as just running a negative ad campaign. This is much worse than just running negative campaign. McCain and Palin are calling a United States Senator and candidate for the Presidency of the United States a terrorist! That is way over the line and is something much worse than a negative ad campaign.

Ask yourself? Can I vote for a man that will so willingly twist the truth? Can we trust this person to speak truthfully to the American public?

The H1-B visa program is bad for the United States and cheats our workers from valuable career experience.

The H1-B visa program is not necessary. Many companies say there is a shortage of employees with the qualifications required to fill their technical positions. The reality is that companies are only interested in hiring employees with a lower compensation package than would otherwise be paid to U.S. citizens.

Employers will testify to Congress that there are not enough skill workers to fill the job openings in the United States. This is true. Many firms will openly admit that the objective is to hire lower compensated employees for the financial gain of the employer.

Be sure to watch the video on our site that discusses even placing fake job advertisements to get H1-B approvals. And, watch the video of the Lou Dobbs reported on how the H1-B visas cheat U.S. workers and college graduates out of jobs.

H-1B visas seriously handicap the United States, because these visas allow companies to hire aliens for important technical assignments. The work experience that aliens gain while working on technical assignments in the United States represents valuable career experience that U.S. citizens are missing out on. This can never be recovered even if lost wages can be eventually be recovered, which in most cases will never be recovered.

In addition, to employers having a vested interest in keeping the H1-B visa program intact, the universities and lawyers also have a financial incentive in keeping the program intact.

An especially large number of visas, 20,000, is made available for foreign workers that earn a master’s degree or doctorate from a U.S. university. For this reason, most universities support the H1-B program. The reason - the foreign students pay the highest tuition and it’s full tuition. So this is an very real financial incentive for universities to support the H1-B visa program.

The legal industry has a vested interest in the H1-B visa program. There are many law firms that specialize in H1-B and other “guest worker” programs and there are many lawyers that have earned six figures for many years handling H1-B cases.

For an example of the typical abuse of the H1-B visa program. Consider a company that manufactures and sells process equipment that has a foreign person working in the sales department. True story. Of course, that job can be filled with a U.S. citizen. And there are many more abuses. Does anyone really believe that this country cannot hire computer programmers, engineers and scientists? Senator Chuck Grassley and Congressman Tom Tancredo don’t believe and they agree that the H1-B visa legislation needs reform.

What do you think? Are H1-B Visas good for the country?

The Bush administration juiced the economy with loose with mortgage lending to keep the economy strong during the Iraq War.

We recently wrote that the economy was juiced by the housing market , because the housing market was left to operate with little on no regulation on purpose to stimulate the econony. Why would the Bush Administration juice the economy?

The reason the Bush wanted to stimulate the economy was to cover up the impact of the cost of the Iraq War. The Iraq War has cost the taxpayers of the United States more than $650,000 billion. Congressman John Yarmouth stated that the economy was linked to the cost of war. It’s not logical to believe that the United States can wage a war and spend in excess of $650,000 billion and it would not have a negative impact on the economy.

This will be the first war that the United States whas fought and the citizens did not have to suffer. That doesn’t make sense. While the war was being and fought and paid for, the economy seemed to be strong. Citizens were seeing increasing home values. For many households, the increasing net worth resulted in increased credit card spending. Over all, things seemed to be pretty good. Until . . . . it all came crashing down, because the economy was strung out on the steroids of loose mortgage lending practices.

The economy was juiced with the loose mortgage lending practices with little or no regulatory oversight, because this kept the economy strong during war time. It’s totally ridiculous to wage a war and lower taxes at the same time. Something had to be done to strengthen the economy during the war. The solution was to let the housing market boil over with loose lending practices. Of course, the Bush administration did not expect that the economy would hit bottom and not be able to go any lower.

Just as a drug addict must hit bottom before they will admit they are not in control of their drug use and seek help, the Bush administration has hit bottom with the economy and now has admitted that they need help. The $700 billion bailout is the help and add this to the $650,000 spent on the Iraq War and this is the true cost of the war.

The U.S. economy was juiced by the loose mortgage lending industry.

The U.S. economy was purposely juiced by the administration to maintain a robust economy. When sports figures use steroids to boost their performance the common term is they are on ‘juice’ meaning steriods. Well, the U.S. economy has been on juice. The loose housing mortgage market juiced the U.S. econony.

Why would the current administration juice the U.S. economy. Certainly the only answer is that it was a tactic to maintain a strong economy. A rising housing market was thought to increase wealth and increase consumer spending. For several years, the finance and economy pundits on CNN, MSBN, and the major networks have said that the housing market has kept the economy from sinking. It’s clear that the housing market was let run wild with no mortgage lending regulation to stimulate the economy. Folks, what other logical reason is there?

It must have been a deliberate tactic to let the mortgage lending market run loose and wild with no meaningful oversight and regulatory actions. It hasn’t been very long since the U.S. experienced the last real estate meltdown due to loose mortgage lending practices. Anyone that is 50+ will remember the 1980’s real estate crisis when foreclosures hit unheard of highs. During the 1980’s the savings and loan industry made questionable loans to thousands of home buyers that were not qualified financially. The 1980’s real estate crisis was not that long ago and it just is not possible that the regulators, managers, bureaucrats and financial industry experts were not aware.

There had to be a conscious decision to let the mortgage lending market run free and wild. Keep in mind that billions in profits were made. Many investment firms, mortgage companies, home builders, title companies, lawyers and others made billions in profits. Consider another perspective. Why were interest only loans created and allowed in the last decade? Who can remember the radio and TV financial advisors recommending that buyers use interest only mortgages “if they were only going to own the house for one to two years”. All of the speculators planning to flip houses knew that “own the house for one to two years” was a euphemism for “flip the house”.

And then consider all of the special mortgages offers for no application fee, no closing fees, no PMI, etc. These are all red flags that the mortgage industry has been operating with no oversight. The important point though is that it wasn’t on accident, no folks, the purpose was to juice the economy by inflating housing prices and convincing Americans to over consume with the end goal to artificially inflate the economy.

My friends, you have a right to be outraged! You should be outraged! The situation that our country is in today was not an accident that couldn’t have been avoided. Are we so naive that we will believe that?
